QSC have been working with SAR Elektronic since 2012, assisting with the safety aspects involved in the construction and commissioning of their new waste to energy plant based in Plymouth, which is a multi-million pound project.
It is estimated the project will be completed at the end of June, and we're pleased to say that the project has accumulated an impressive 500,000 man hours without a reportable accident!
The site was awarded with the Gold Award in 2014 by the Considerate Constructors Scheme at the National Site Awards ceremony in London. This award is a credit to the whole site construction team and all those people who have worked on the site over the last two years.
QSC's on site CDM Advisor, Marius Costea, has been presented with an award too, by SAR, for his work and involvement at the Plymouth site since he began working on the project in October 2013.
Marius says "It's been a pleasure working with the team at SAR. I've worked with many people of different nationalities on site. It has been challenging, but very rewarding, to learn about different safety cultures and support all those on site to learn and work to the high safety standards we set. I'm honoured to have received an award for my work on this project."
